Getting Started
Yes, Sunsynk Saver is available to download from both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Currently, Sunsynk Saver is compatible with all single-phase Sunsynk Standard and Ecco hybrid inverters up to 16kW, and the Acure single-phase. Support for our other inverter ranges is in development and testing and will be included in the next release.
Yes, Sunsynk Saver is fully compatible with the existing hardware that works with the original Sunsynk Connect platform. There is no need to replace your data logger or dongle.
A web-based version of Sunsynk Saver is currently in development. Please check back for updates.
The system currently updates data every 60 seconds, giving you near-real-time visibility of your solar generation, battery state, grid usage and energy flows.
No. One of the core benefits delivered by the AI is planned use of battery storage capacity as a reservoir so that you get the most out of available solar, navigating around intermittency and delivering maximised self-consumption with minimal use of grid energy. A battery is required to unlock AI optimisation.
Subscription & Pricing
Absolutely. Based on feedback from our beta testers, the AI subscription on average delivers a cash gains return of between 2x and 8x, depending on the particular relative sizes of PV, inverter and battery storage, usage patterns and weather conditions.
The subscription for advanced AI features is £9.99 per month in the UK, or R250 per month for users in South Africa. Annual (£99.99/year, saving 2 months) and 2-year (£199.99, saving 4 months) plans are also available.
Payments are taken automatically every month in advance. Billing continues automatically until you cancel your subscription.
No, all customers can access the basic capabilities of Sunsynk Saver for free. However, the advanced capabilities, including AI-driven automation and optimisation, are available only to subscribers.
Follow the straightforward in-app process, which works with the standard Apple App Store and Google Play Store payment flow for monthly payments. You can find more information by visiting the subscription section of our Quick Start Guide.
Yes, subscriptions are flexible and can be cancelled at any time without penalty using the in-app process. Cancellations take effect at the end of the monthly billing cycle.
Account & Data
Yes, your historical data will remain accessible when you move to Sunsynk Saver, provided you are using the same account and compatible hardware.
An internet connection is required for Sunsynk Saver to function correctly, especially for AI features and real-time updates. The AI daily charge plan delivery mechanism includes automated resilience features to deal with temporary connectivity outages. Offline access is limited.
To sign in to your existing account, open the Sunsynk Saver app. On the sign-in screen, enter your registered email address and password. Tap Sign In to access your account and view your Plant List.
If your plant has not been migrated, it could be because you added your system to Sunsynk Connect after the migration was run, or because you do not have a compatible inverter for Sunsynk Saver. Please contact support for assistance.
If you have received an email advising that your plant has been migrated, follow the instructions in the email to reset your password and log in to Sunsynk Saver. Your plant and historical data will be ready to access once you sign in.
Yes. You can continue to use Sunsynk Connect in tandem with Sunsynk Saver. Both systems will update with your new data.
AI & Optimisation
Yes, Sunsynk offers customer support via our helpdesk, and we will be expanding our in-app support options in future updates. Visit the support page for contact details.
Sunsynk Saver allows you to change essential inverter settings including Battery Settings, System Mode, and , covering everything you need to commission your system. All other settings and parameters are currently being tested and will be released in phase 2.
If the AI Setup Wizard gives an error or does not let you continue, this is usually caused by one of the following: no internet connection to your inverter, no battery installed, or no grid connection. Ensure all three are present and try again. If the issue persists, contact our support team.
The AI delivers a charge plan to your inverter for the best possible optimisation. Adjusting your settings will not only change the AI's configuration but will also impact the accuracy of its future predictions. This can also force the system to go through its Learning Phase again to regain accuracy. We recommend avoiding manual inverter changes while the AI Optimised plan is active.
